Introduction
In this screen, you can copy the details of an existing operation to a new operation.
Operations are smaller breakdowns of processes that take place in the production floor to produce the finish goods. When creating operations, you must specify either a machine or labor hour unless you are creating an operation to be used for outsourcing purposes.
Keep in mind: This screen can only be accessed if the Operations check box is selected at System à General à Settings à Manufacturing settings.

How do I copy an operation?
- From the Manufacturing / Setup / Operations screen, select an operation, and then click Copy.
- In the Copy: Operation screen at New, fill in the code of the new operation.
- Fill in the description of the new operation at Description.
- Click OK. The Operations screen will be displayed.
- Fill in or modify the information, if required.
- Click Save.
Keep in mind: All fields with the "!" icon are mandatory.
Fields
New
Type the code for the new operation. By default, the code of the operation being copied is filled.
Description
Type the description of the new operation. By default, the description of the operation being copied is filled.
Buttons
OK
Click this to copy the operation. The Operations screen will be displayed. For more information, see Creating and modifying operations.
Cancel
Click this to cancel the copying process.
